SAN DIEGO – The Aztec track and field team returns to action this Friday and Saturday at two separate meets. The Aztecs will be competing at the Steve Scott Invitational in Irvine, California from April 29-30, and at the Desert Heat Classic on Saturday, April 30. Both meets will have live results available via finishedresults.com. 

The Aztecs will have the distance team in action at the Steve Scott Invitational on Friday and Saturday, hosted by UC Irvine. SDSU will have athletes competing on Friday night in the 3,000m steeplechase at 7:20 p.m. PT, they will also have athletes involved in the 5,000m run Friday night at 8:20 p.m. PT. As for Saturday, the pole vault team will compete at 1:00 p.m. PT, and the distance squad will be back for the 1,500m run at 4:35 p.m. PT.

San Diego State will have the majority of the team competing on Saturday afternoon and evening at the Desert Heat Classic in Tucson, Arizona hosted by the University of Arizona. The field events will kick off the day at noon PT with the hammer throw, followed by the discus throw at 2:30 p.m. PT and the long jump at 3:00 p.m. PT. The high jump will start at 3:30 p.m. PT, and the shot put will begin at 5:00 p.m. PT, before the first track event of the day for the Aztecs takes place at 5:25 p.m. PT with the 100m hurdles. San Diego State will have a relay team competing in the 4x100m dash at 5:50 p.m. PT, 800m run at 6:10 p.m. PM, 400m dash at 6:20 p.m. PT, and the 100m dash at 6:55 p.m. PT. The final two field events of the day for the Aztecs, the triple jump and javelin throw will start at 7:00 p.m. PT, which will be followed by the 400m hurdles at 7:40 p.m. PT. The Aztecs will wrap up the meet with the 200m dash at 8:10 p.m. PT and the 4x400m relay at 9:30 p.m. PT.
