SAN DIEGO – The Aztec track and field team kicked off the first of four days of competition this week at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, California. The Aztecs had three athletes competing in the 3,000m steeplechase and the 10,000m Invitational race on Wednesday night.

Isabelle Davis and Natalie Regalado kicked off things for the Aztecs in the 3,000m steeplechase. They each competed in the first heat of the event, and finished mid-pack, Regalado finished in 10th with a time of 11:39.66, while Davis finished close behind in 12th with a time of 12:07.57.

Amber Elias also took part in the meet on Wednesday night. She competed in the 10,000m invitational and finished in 37:18.83.

The Aztecs will have the distance team in action again at the Bryan Clay Invitational on Thursday with athletes competing in the 8000m run at 2:55 p.m. PT, and the 5,000m run at 5:30 p.m. PT.  After Thursday, the Aztecs will have athletes competing at the prestigious Mt Sac Relays on Friday, and the Beach Invitational hosted by Long Beach State on both Friday and Saturday. Tomorrow's action at the Bryan Clay Invitational will be broadcast on FloTrack ($) and the Mt. Sac Relays on Friday will be broadcast on runnerspace.com($). All three meets this weekend will have results available on finishedresults.com.
