SAN DIEGO – The Aztec track and field team returns to action this Thursday-Saturday at two meets. The Aztecs will be competing at both the Sun Angel Classic in Tempe, Ariz. on Thursday through Saturday, as well as at the Triton Invitational on Friday and Saturday, held at nearby UC San Diego. Both meets will have live results available via finishedresults.com
 
At the Sun Angel Classic in Tempe, the Aztecs will have athletes competing across 16 events. The meet starts on Thursday with the first day of the heptathlon, and the second day of the event concludes on Friday. Also on Friday at the Sun Angel Classic is the high jump at 12:00 p.m. PDT, 100m hurdles prelims at 5:30 p.m. PDT, pole vault at 5:30 pm. PDT, and 200m dash at 6:20 p.m. PDT.
 
On Saturday the Aztecs will have student-athletes competing all day at the Sun Angel Classic. The field events start the day for SDSU with the long jump at 10:30 a.m. PDT, the shot put at 1:00 p.m. PDT, and the triple jump at 1:30 p.m. PDT.  The track events are scheduled to start later in the day with the 4x100m relay at 5:30 p.m. PDT, the 100m hurdles final at 6:10 p.m. PDT, 400m dash at 6:45 p.m. PDT, and the 100m dash at 7:25 p.m. PDT. Rounding out the track events will be the 800m run at 8:00 p.m. PDT, the 1,500m run at 8:15 p.m. PDT and the 4x400m relay at 9:10 p.m. PDT.
 
As for the Triton Invitation the Aztecs will have athletes competing across six events on Friday and Saturday. The Aztecs will have athletes competing on Friday in hammer throw at 9 a.m. and the Discus prelims at 1:30. As for Saturday, SDSU will have athletes competing in the shot put at 10:30 a.m. PDT, 100m hurdles at 12:35 PDT, 400m hurdles at 3:50 PDT, and javelin at 2:30 p.m. PDT.
