SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State men's tennis team travels up the I-5 on Tuesday for an afternoon meeting with the UCLA Bruins at the Los Angeles Tennis Center. First serve is scheduled for 2 p.m. PT.

SDSU (5-7) comes into its matchup against the Bruins, its final non-conference regular season dual, off a 4-3 victory over the Portland Pilots on Saturday, March 26 at the Aztec Tennis Center.

This will be the first meeting between these two programs since Jan. 25, 2020, in Los Angeles, when the Bruins were No. 10 in the nation and downed San Diego State, 4-1. None of the current Aztecs competed in the 2020 matchup.

SDSU will look for senior Joe Tyler to continue his strong play when it meets UCLA (5-8). The native of Corby, England, has posted a 13-6 record in singles this season, which includes a 7-2 mark in dual matches, and has emerged the winner in each of the last two times he has taken the court.

Justin Blair, a product of Sprague High School in Salem, Ore., is second on the team with 12 wins, has won his last two dual matches, including against Portland (March 26) where he competed at the fifth slot for the first time this season. His other dual match appearances have been at No. 6, where he is 4-6 on the year.

Parnu, Estonia native, Johannes Seeman is currently 8-11 but has earned a victory in each of the three times this season he has played at the No. 3 singles spot.

Freshman Alexander Mandma has 10 wins, including in two of his last three at No. 4, where he has an overall record of 4-4 at the spot.

Jules Auffray, from Hyeres, France, is 1-0 at No. 4 singles and has won his last two matches, one at No. 5 and one at No. 4. Two of his three dual match wins have come in straight sets, including in each of his last two outings.

The Aztecs look to improve on its doubles result after dropping the point in its last match, vs. Portland on March 26.
