SAN DIEGO – The Aztec women's basketball team (10-11, 4-6) plays at Boise State (7-14, 3-7) Saturday at 11 a.m. PT (12 p.m. MT).
 
Aztec Tidbits
• SDSU beat the Broncos 80-63 in San Diego on Jan. 15.
• Asia Avinger had 30 points against the Broncos, shooting 10-for-12 from the floor and 9-for-10 from the line. This was the first time in the Mountain West era (1999-2022) SDSU had a freshman score 30 or more points.
• Mallory Adams had a career-high 25 points and made seven three-pointers, tied for the second most in a game in program history.
• This was just the fourth time in the Mountain West era that SDSU had two players score 25 or more points in a game.
• The Aztecs won at Utah State 68-67 Wednesday behind a last second fast break lay-in from Mercedes Staples. The game featured six lead changes in the final minute of the game.
• Sophia Ramos (San Antonio, Texas) scored 27 points for the second straight game making her the first Aztec in the Mountain West era to score 25 points or more in back-to-back games.
• Ramos surpassed 1,400 points for her career on Wednesday, the eighth Aztec to reach that mark. She is one of four active four-year players with career totals of at least 1,400 points, 500 rebounds, 350 assists and 150 steals (Northwestern's Veronica Burton, Ohio's Erica Johnson & Florida's Kiara Smith). She is currently in the top 10 in program history in seven statistical categories, including assists (6th), three-point percentage (6th), made threes (6th), made free throws (7th) and points (8th).
• Ramos is second in the conference in steals per game (2.1) and made threes per game (2.14) and is in the top 100 nationally in seven statistical categories.
• Mallory Adams (Frisco, Texas) is averaging (13.7) and rebounding (8.1) in conference games. She is making 2.9 three-pointers per game in MW play, the most in the Mountain West.
• Adams reached the 800 point and 500 rebound plateau at Utah State on Wednesday.
• Asia Avinger (Cerritos, Calif.) leads all Mountain West freshmen in scoring and assists.
Kim Villalobos (Van Nuys, Calif.) is averaging 7.2 rebounds in conference play and her 3.1 offensive rebounds per game is third in the conference.
• SDSU has three active players in the top 10 all-time in career three-point percentage. Mercedes Staples (Centerville, Utah) is fourth at 37.5 percent (54-144), Sophia Ramos is sixth (35.9%, 142-393) and Isabela Hernandez is ninth (35.4%, 56-158).
• The Aztecs are second in the MW in opponent field goal percentage (.380) and opponent three-point percentage (.301) and third in rebounds per game (39.1).
 
Opponent Notebook (Boise State)
• The Broncos are 7-14 and 3-7 in conference play.
• They are 6-4 at home and just 1-10 in road or neutral games.
• They have lost three in a row.
• They are second in the conference in rebound margin (+5.7), rebounds per game (40.4) and blocks per game (3.6).
• They are holding their opponents to 38.3 percent shooting from the field, the third best in the conference.

• Dominique Leonidas leads the Broncos with 11.2 points per game.
