SAN DIEGO – In its final tune-up prior to the Mountain West Championships, the San Diego State diving team competes in the Lumberjack Diving Invite Friday, Feb. 4 through Sunday, Feb. 6 at the NAU Aquatic & Tennis Center in Flagstaff, Ariz.
 
Boosted by reigning Mountain West Diver and Freshman of the Week, Valentina Lopez Arevalo, the Aztecs return to Northern Arizona University where last year, senior Ximena Lechuga Gonzalez won both the 1-meter and platform events and finished second in the 3-meter event. SDSU finished with five competitors in the top-10 of each competition, including sweeping the podium in the platform event.
 
On Friday, the meet opens with the 1-meter competition. Prelims will start at 10:30 a.m. MT, with the top-18 competitors advancing to the finals, which are set to commence approximately 15 minutes after the preliminaries are complete.
 
The format will be the same on Saturday and Sunday in the 3-meter and platform competitions, respectively.
