WESTWOOD, Calif. – For the second time in as many days, the San Diego State diving team earned three of the 18 spots in the finals of an event at the Bruin Diving Invitational at Spieker Aquatic Center on the campus of UCLA. On Saturday the Aztecs did it on the 3-meter board, after doing so in the 1-meter event yesterday.

As it did on Friday, San Diego State was the only school not in a Power-5 conference to place multiple divers in the event final. Ximena Lechuga Gonzalez and Valentina Lopez Arevalo made the final yesterday and were joined there by Lexi Letts, today.

Lechuga Gonzalez, a senior out of Tijuana, Mexico, finished with a total score of 600.35 and in seventh place. Freshman Lopez Arevalo was 12th with a 565.30 and Letts, a senior from Mesa, Ariz., came in 17th at 504.85 score.

With a 232.15, sophomore Jules Harrison had the best score among Aztecs who did not make the final. Summer Westmoreland, the Tucson, Ariz., freshman who made the final in the 1-meter on Friday, posted a 224.30.

Emma Duggan, a freshman, scored a 221.52, just ahead of senior Gillian Garcia's 221.00, and Olivia Zamudio, a freshman from Valhalla High in San Diego, totaled 219.30 in the prelims.

The three-day meet wraps up on Sunday with the platform event. The prelims are scheduled to get underway at 10:30 a.m. PT with the final set for 1 p.m. PT.
