Men’s Basketball Broadcast Schedule Released

SAN DIEGO – San Diego State, in conjunction with the Mountain West, released its national broadcast schedule for the 2021-22 men's basketball campaign on Thursday. Highlighting the slate are a pair of games which are set to air on CBS.
 
The Aztecs will play on CBS Sports Network 11 times, on FS1 five times and on CBS twice. Along with the broadcast schedule, the league revealed game day shifts to accommodate its television partners. The Aztecs had seven contests affected: home games vs. Fresno State, New Mexico, and San Jose State, and road games at Utah State, Wyoming, Colorado State and San Jose State.
 
San Diego State will appear on CBS on Jan. 1, when it opens defense of its 2020-21 Mountain West title, at UNLV, and then seven days later when it hosts Nevada on Jan. 8. Tip times for both games will be 1 p.m. PT.
 
The Aztecs first contest on CBS Sports Network is against non-conference foe Arizona State on Nov. 18 (7:30 p.m. PT). Other featured games on CBSSN include both Boise State matchups (Jan. 22 at 6:30 p.m. PT & Feb. 22 at 6 p.m. PT), vs. Utah State (Feb. 15 at 7 p.m. PT), vs. Colorado State (March 1 at 7:30 p.m. PT), and at Nevada (March 5 at 7:30 p.m. PT). In addition, San Diego State's games at Wyoming (Jan. 12 at 7 p.m. PT), at New Mexico (Jan. 15 at 6 p.m. PT), vs. UNLV (Jan. 18 at 6 p.m. PT), at San Jose State (Feb. 9 at 8 p.m. PT), vs. Air Force (Feb. 12), and at Fresno State (Feb. 19 at 7 p.m. PT) will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network. CBSSN has not released a start time for the Aztecs game at Air Force on Feb. 12.
 
The games that will be on FS1 are against Fresno State (Jan. 5 at 7:30 p.m. PT), at Utah State (Jan. 26 at 8 p.m. PT), vs. New Mexico (Jan. 31 at 7 p.m. PT), at Colorado State (Feb. 4 at 6 p.m. PT) and vs. San Jose State (Feb. 25 at 8 p.m. PT).
 
With national broadcast partners having made their selections, STADIUM has the option to select 10 games to broadcast which will be the final phase of the league's television lineup selections.
 
In addition to the Mountain West's announcement, the Aztecs game at Brigham Young on Friday, Nov. 12, will tip at 6 p.m. (PT) with broadcast details expected at a later date.
 
San Diego State has also revealed that an exhibition game, in Viejas Arena on Wednesday, Nov. 3, against St. Katherine has been added to the schedule and the program still has the option to add one more game to its non-conference slate.
 
San Diego State returns starters Nathan Mensah and Trey Pulliam, as well as significant contributors Lamont Butler, Keshad Johnson, Adam Seiko, and Joshua Tomaic off a team that went 23-5, won its Mountain West-high 13th and 14th conference titles and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the eighth time in the last ten years in which the event has been contested. Transfers Tahirou Diabate, Chad Baker-Mazara and Matt Bradley, along with incoming freshman Demarshay Johnson Jr., are new faces who will compete for the Aztecs in 2021-22.  
 
A limited number of season tickets for games in Viejas Arena are currently on sale. Available for purchase are bench reserve seating and a limited number of chair backs, starting at $199 per season ticket.
