SAN DIEGO – Head coach Stacie Terry-Hutson has announced the signing of Jaida Brooks to a National Letter of Intent. A 5'6" guard out of Phoenix, Brooks is a four-star recruit according to Prospects Nation.
"Jaida is a dynamic playmaker and proven winner," Terry-Hutson said. "She can score at all three levels and plays fast which will fit perfectly with the up-tempo style we play with here.
"I chose SDSU because the coaching staff didn't just care about basketball, they cared about my overall wellbeing," Brooks explained. "My future teammates made it easy for me to see that SDSU is not only a great community but a great family to be a part of. It's going to be a great place to spend the next four years of my life and I'm more than ready to be an Aztec."
Last season Brooks attended PHH Prep where she played alongside five other DI commits and helped her school go 38-3. She averaged 12 points, six assists, four rebounds and two steals.
In the 2018-19 season, she averaged 14.8 points, 2.7 steals and 2.6 assists per game according to MaxPreps while helping Mountain Pointe High School go 20-9 and 8-2 in league.
