SAN DIEGO – Season tickets for San Diego State football's highly anticipated inaugural season at Aztec Stadium in 2022 are set to go on sale to the general public in January. In addition, current Aztec Club members are now in the process of selecting seats based on their priority-point ranking.

Season tickets for the premier college football experience in America start at $250 (which includes a $50 donation to the Aztec Club) or less than $50 per game. More than 60 percent of the tickets available to purchase on a season basis at the new stadium are within $39 of the 2019 season ticket prices at the old SDCCU Stadium.

Season tickets for all seven home games during the 2022 campaign at Aztec Stadium will include the official grand-opening event on Sept. 3 against the University of Arizona.

Every ticket in the stadium will have a Stadium Excellence Gift that exclusively supports the stadium financing project. That one-time cost can be paid over a three-year period, with the amount based on the location of the seat. That price starts at $100.

"I am excited to enter the next phase of selling season tickets for Aztec Stadium," San Diego State Director of Athletics John David Wicker said. "We have worked diligently with our design and construction partners to create a stadium experience that is second to none. SDSU will finally have a homefield advantage and I look forward to welcoming our fans on September 3, 2022!"

Sales for the new stadium began in September 2020 with the unveiling of premium seating, which accounts for approximately nine percent of the capacity. To date, all four founders suites, 16 luxury suites and more than 90 percent of the loge boxes have already been purchased. However, this is the first time that seats in the priority and reserved levels have been put on sale.

During this phase, the nearly 5,000 members of the Aztec Club have an opportunity to meet in person with a dedicated representative at the Aztec Stadium Experience Center and select their seats. Interested fans who are not in this group can either join the Aztec Club (minimum $100 donation) or secure their place in line after Aztec Club members by reserving a spot with over 2,000 individuals at AztecStadium.com.

"We continue to receive great feedback from members of the community that have had the opportunity to tour Aztec Stadium," Executive Associate Athletic Director for Mission Valley Development Derek Grice said. "One of the things that we set out to do was ensure a price-point in which everyone would be able to enjoy the best college football atmosphere in the country and we have done that. This stadium is worthy of this University and this community and will provide the Aztecs with an unparalleled home field advantage."

This season, San Diego State is off to the school's second 5-0 start in the last 46 years and is ranked No. 24 in both the Associated Press and the AFCA Coaches polls. With a win Friday, SDSU will become bowl eligible for a record 12th consecutive season. The program is one of the winningest in the country, posting a 58-22 record (72.5 percent) since the start of the 2015 campaign. That is tied for the 11th-highest winning percentage during that stretch and represents the best record in the state of California over the past seven seasons.
