SAN DIEGO – A group of four San Diego State men's tennis players are scheduled to compete at the ITA All-American Championships, Oct. 2-10, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The prestigious annual event will be conducted at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on the University of Tulsa campus, as well as the Case Tennis Center at LaFortune Park.

Victor Castro, Alexander Mändma and Joe Tyler will participate in the pre-qualifying singles round this weekend, Oct. 2-3, while Johannes Seeman will begin play in the qualifying round on Monday, Oct. 4. If any competitor from the Aztec delegation advances, the main draw runs from Oct. 6-10.

All four SDSU players saw action last weekend at the North Ranch Invitational in Westlake Village, California, where Castro and Seeman each posted a 2-1 singles record, while Mändma collected a pair of victories as well. In addition, Tyler went 1-2 in his singles debut for the Scarlet and Black.

Castro also recorded a 2-2 ledger to open the Aztecs' fall tournament schedule at the Easley Memorial Classic in Las Vegas, where he fell short in the Flight 1 singles consolation final, while Mändma went 1-2 in the same flight.

The ITA All-American Championships is one of the premier ITA-sanctioned fall tournaments in college tennis, with representation of approximately 98 Division I teams from around the nation gathering for the nine-day event.  In addition to vying for the All-American national title, players will be challenging for a berth in the 2021 ITA National Fall Championships, which are scheduled for Nov. 4-7 at Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego.

The four All-American singles semifinalists and two doubles finalists will earn automatic berths to the November event in "America's Finest City."

Following the ITA All-American Championships, San Diego State will return to the courts Oct. 15-17, when it plays host to the Aztec Fall Invitational.
