SAN DIEGO -- The San Diego State football team is ranked 25th in the latest Associated Press Top 25 Poll, which was released Sunday. It is the 11th time the Aztecs (4-0) have been ranked since the 2016 season and the first time since landing at No. 24 on the Nov. 3, 2019 poll.
SDSU had 111 points in today's poll, up from 57 a week ago despite not playing in a game. San Diego State is just ahead of Clemson (96), and behind No. 20 Florida (343), No. 21 Texas (303), No. 22 Arizona State (297), No. 23 North Carolina State (279) and No. 24 SMU (136). Alabama is ranked first in the poll with 1,541 points and 53 first-place votes, while Georgia is No. 2 with 1,497 points and the other nine first-place votes.
The Aztecs are off to a 4-0 start for just the second time in the last 40 seasons (also 2017).
SDSU is also receiving 103 points in the AFCA Coaches Poll, the 27th most in the poll. Arizona State is ranked 25th in the coaches poll with 141 points.
