SAN DIEGO – The Aztec men's soccer team is receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches preseason poll.

Entering head coach Ryan Hopkins' first full season (second overall), the Aztecs return three All-Pac-12 honorees (Andre Ochoa, Blake Bowen and Iñigo Villaldea) in addition to a talented incoming eight-man recruiting class. Freshman defender Rik Regeling (Netherlands) was recently named one of Top Drawer Soccer's ten international players to watch.

Three Pac-12 teams were ranked in the top 16 in the preseason poll with Stanford coming in at No. 8, Washington at No. 9 and Oregon State at No. 16.

SDSU will have two exhibition games (at UC Irvine Aug. 15 and vs. California Baptist Aug. 20) before their regular season opener vs. CSUN on August 26th on the SDSU Sports Deck.
