SAN DIEGO – With the highly anticipated 2021 campaign rapidly approaching for the San Diego State football program, fans can tune in to XTRA Sports 1360 San Diego on Wednesday, Sept. 1, for the season premiere of the Aztec Coaches Show at 6 p.m. PT.

SDSU head coach Brady Hoke is set to join co-hosts Jon Schaeffer and Rich Ohrnberger for one hour every Wednesday throughout the season to discuss X's and O's, a preview of the upcoming game, a recap of the previous week, and much more.

San Diego State opens its schedule on Saturday, Sept. 4, when it squares off against New Mexico State at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. PT.

Radio coverage of the Aztecs-Aggies clash begins at 5:30 p.m. PT on XTRA Sports 1360 San Diego with the pregame show hosted by Mike Costa and former SDSU standout wide receiver J.R. Tolver, which will be simulcast on 101 KGB FM, starting 6:30 p.m.

Saturday's Aztec season opener will air on XTRA Sports 1360 San Diego and 101 KGB-FM, with Ted Leitner once again handling the play-by-play responsibilities, while Rich Ohrnberger provides analysis. Rounding out the SDSU gameday lineup is Jon Schaeffer, who will host the halftime and postgame shows on those same two stations.

San Diego State will play seven of its 12 games during 2021 campaign at Dignity Health Sports Park and will have only one road contest over the first six weeks of the season. In addition to Saturday's opener, the Aztecs' home slate features high-profile games against Utah, Boise State, Fresno State and Nevada. Five of the six FBS opponents that SDSU will face at home this year season finished the 2020 season with a .500 record or better.
