On Monday, the White Sox started a series with Oakland, a team that both other former Aztec hitters had success against. Zavala joined his fellow former Aztecs, Ty France and Alan Trejo, with a big game against Oakland, hitting an RBI single in the fourth to tie the game at 2-2 and driving in Luis Robert on a suicide squeeze in the sixth inning to increase Chicago's lead to 4-2. On the season, Zavala is batting .230 with a .309 on base percentage, four home runs, 13 RBIs and 13 runs. The White Sox lead Cleveland by 11 games in the AL Central. Ty France (2013-15) was also successful this week. He started all six games at first base for Seattle, batting .435 with a .480 on base percentage, a home run, three RBIs, four runs and a triple. On Tuesday night, France hit an RBI single in the 10th inning to bring the Mariners within a run. On Saturday, he blasted a two-run homer in the first inning against Toronto to give Seattle a 2-0 lead. On the season, France is batting .285 with a .359 on base percentage, 12 home runs, 51 RBIs and 58 runs. The Mariners are in third place and trail Houston by 7.5 games. Alan Trejo (2014-16) was also called up from Triple-A Albuquerque to Colorado on Tuesday. He's batting .244 on the season with a .289 on-base mark, one home run, three RBIs and seven runs.
