Ty France has continued his hot streak further into the second half to lead all Aztecs in the pros.
In the MLB, France (2013-15) started all seven of Seattle's games this week. He played at a combination of first base, second base and designated hitter, and batted .296 with a .345 on base percentage, five runs scored, and three RBIs. On Thursday in Colorado, France slugged a two-run double in the seventh inning off reliever Tyler Kinley to give the Mariners a 6-2 lead in a game they would win 6-4. On Saturday night, France singled in Mitch Haniger off Oakland ace Chris Bassitt to start the scoring in the first inning. Seattle would go on for a walk-off win in the ninth inning on a wild pitch by closer Lou Trivino.
