About Us
The academics staff is composed of a director, a student-athlete services coordinator, a student-athlete development coordinator, academic advisors, learning specialists, academic coordinators, and part-time student tutors who are all dedicated to serving the academic and personal needs of student-athletes at SDSU. SAASS is committed to providing services that are in compliance with all NCAA, MWC, and SDSU guidelines for academic integrity and ethical behaviors.
Mission Statement
The mission of Student-Athlete Academic Support Services is to uphold the ideals of San Diego State University and its intercollegiate athletics department. SAASS instills the value of education through creating a culture of academic integrity and professional development in order to enhance the holistic student-athlete experience. SAASS is dedicated to meeting the unique demands of student-athletes by integrating a support system of campus and community resources.

Facilities & Technological Resources
Within the Fowler Athletic Center, student-athletes have access to both small and large study rooms, as well as a Learning Lab that houses over 38 computer workstations and a printer. SAASS also has a limited number of laptops available for student-athletes to checkout to use in the academic center or for travel during official team competition.
