SAN DIEGO -- San Diego State senior Sara Kjellker (Hollviken, Sweden) was named a 2020-21 Golfweek All-American on Thursday. It is the first All-America nod for Kjellker.

Kjellker, who last month was named the Mountain West Women's Golfer of the Year and garnered all-league honors for a fourth consecutive season, led the Aztecs in scoring average (73.19), rounds in the 60s (3), rounds below par (7), even-par rounds (2, tied) and team count percentage (.984). She finished the season ranked 49th in the Sagarin/Golfweek ratings, despite SDSU only competing in the spring.

Kjellker was San Diego State's top finisher in six of the seven tournament this season, including a tie for 18th at the NCAA Stanford Regional from May 10-12. Prior to regionals, Kjellker captured medalist honors at the MW Championship from April 20-21, defeating New Mexico's Lauren Lehigh on the second hole of a playoff. Kjellker also had runner-up finishes at the Lamkin Invitational (Feb. 8-9) and The Bruzzy (March 29-30).

Kjellker landed on the all-MW first team for a third time (2018, 2020-21) after garnering second-team accolades in the 2018-19 campaign. She became just the fourth Aztec to earn four all-league honors, joining Sirene Blair (2014-17), Emma Henrikson (2013-16) and Christine Wong (2010-13). Kjellker was twice named the MW Women's Golfer of the Week this season (Feb. 11 and April 1) and has won the award five times for her career along with the MW Golfer of the Month in Sept. 2019.

SDSU played in a NCAA Regional for a seventh straight season and finished second at the MW Championship.
