Frisch Named One of the Nation's Top-100

SAN DIEGO – Chloe Frisch, a starter in all 11 of the Aztecs' contests this past season, has been recognized by Top Drawer Soccer as one of the elite women's soccer players in Division I, being ranked No. 79 in the nation, in the web site's listing of its top-100 players.
 
The rankings, which are published in the preseason, at midseason and after the completion of the postseason, include sophomores, juniors, and seniors at the Division I level. Freshmen have a separate top-100 list, which is published at the same times during the season.
 
This past year, Frisch led the Aztecs in shots (43), shots on goal (22) and tied for the team lead in goals (6). She was also second in points (13) and game winners (2).
 
Among Mountain West performers, she was first in shots and shots on goal, third in goals and goals per game, and sixth in points, game winners and points per game. In games in which she recorded a point, SDSU was 5-2. Her game winners came at San Jose State (3/12) and at Boise State (4/9), and her five shots on goal at San Jose State (3/12) were a single-game career high and a season high for the side.
 
On a national level, she finished the season ranked 21st in shots on goals per game, 23rd in shots on goal, 65th in goals per game, 93rd in goals, 106th in points per game, 114th in game winning goals, and 148th in shot accuracy.
 
This honor is the latest for the midfielder, who was named a first-team 2020-21 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Women's All-Pacific Region performer. In addition, she garnered the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Year Award as well as her second first-team All-Mountain West honor in the last two years.
 
Frisch finished her collegiate career in a tie for eighth place on the program's all-time assist list with 16. A starter in 69-of -70 career games, she scored 15 goals, totaled 46 points, produced 181 shots, put 74 of those on frame, and had five game winners.
 
In three of her four seasons, the Aztecs reached the championship game of the Mountain West tournament. She won a Mountain West regular-season championship in 2019, the 2017 tournament championship and its automatic bid to the NCAA tournament, as well as the 2020 Mountain West's West Division title.
