NAPA, Calif. -- The San Diego State women's golf team is in 13th place after two rounds of the Silverado Showdown at the par-72, 6,202-yard Silverado Golf Club.

The Aztecs carded a 23-over-par 311 Tuesday to remain in 13th at 43-over 619, 11 shots behind UNLV for the top 10. No. 31 UCLA leads the team competition after two rounds at 1-over 577, while No. 13 USC (+5), No. 44 Oregon State (+6), No. 10 Arizona State (+12) and No. 20 Oregon (+17) round out the top 5.

Sara Kjellker continues to pace SDSU and is tied for 31st at 8-over 152 but slipped 18 spots following a 7-over 79 today. Starting on the 10th hole, Kjellker opened with five straight pars before bogeying the par-3, 165-yard 15th, and responding with a birdie on the par-4, 485-yard 16th. Kjellker, however, only had one more birdie the rest of the way (par-4, 309-yard fourth), while posting four bogeys and two double bogeys.

Bernice Olivarez Ilas remains one shot behind Kjellker at 9-over 153 in a tie for 41st after matching her with a 7-over 79. Ilas couldn't get things going and went all 18 holes without a birdie, but did record 13 pars, offsetting three bogeys and two double bogeys.

Anna Lina Otten had San Diego State's best round of the day at 4-over 76 and moved up 15 places to 51st (tied) at 12-over 156 through 36 holes. Otten birdied three of the four par 5s, including the 503-yard 18th, 487-yard fifth and 491-yard ninth, but also had three bogeys and a pair of double bogeys.

Andrea Gomez is tied for 65th at 16-over 160, equaling Kjellker and Ilas with a 7-over 79 today. Gomez was unable to card a birdie, rattling off 12 pars, five bogeys and a double bogey on the par-3, 138-yard 11th.

April Ranches bettered her Monday score by five strokes with a 5-over 77 today and after two rounds is tied for 69th at 17-over 161. Starting on the 10th, Ranches stopped a streak of four straight pars with a bogey on the par-4, 367-yard 14th and No. 15. The left-hander turned things around over the next eight holes with two birdies (No. 18 and par-4, 345-yard third) and six pars to get back to 1-over for the round. Ranches, however, had two bogeys and a double bogey over the final four holes to settle for the 77.

The final round takes place on Wednesday.
