In the NBA, Malachi Flynn (2020) played in three games last week for Toronto, averaging 11.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 2.7 steals and 1.0 block per game. In Friday's win over Golden State, Flynn set career highs with 16 points and five assists, and tied careers high with five rebounds and two steals. In his next game - Monday's win over Washington - Flynn tied his career high of 16 points and set new bests with six rebounds, four steals, and three blocks. Kawhi Leonard (2010-11), meanwhile, played in three games last week for the Los Angeles Clippers, recording 23.7 points, 9.0 rebounds, 5.7 assists, 1.7 steals and 0.3 blocks per game. The Clippers are the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference. Jalen McDaniels (2018-19) played in three games last week for Charlotte, averaging 3.7 points, 0.3 rebounds, 0.3 assists and 0.3 steals per game. The Hornets are the No. 6 seed in the Eastern Conference.
The MLB season began on Thursday. Slugger Ty France (2013-15) has played both second base and designated hitter for the Seattle Mariners. In four games, France has compiled a batting average of .231, while scoring three runs and adding two RBIs. In Saturday's 4-0 win over San Francisco, France took starter Logan Webb deep in the third inning with a 402-foot solo home run, his first of the season. Stephen Strasburg's (2007-09) Washington squad has yet to play this season due to COVID-19.
On the PGA Tour, J.J. Spaun (2009-12) did not make the cut in the Valero Texas Open in San Antonio, Texas. Xander Schauffele (2013-15), meanwhile, competes in The Masters this weekend in Augusta, Ga.
