COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – San Diego State's Victoria O'Sullivan (Albany, Calif./Saint Mary HS) was named to the 2021 All-Mountain West Spring Volleyball team, as voted by 10 of the league's 11 head coaches.

With her selection, the Aztec outside hitter garnered the first all-conference accolade of her career, marking the sixth year in a row that SDSU has landed at least one player on the all-league volleyball squad.

In 2021, O'Sullivan ranked seventh in the MW with a team-best 3.25 kills per set (172 overall) and shared the seventh spot in the conference with 3.66 points per set (kills-aces-solo blocks-block assists/2). She also occupied the second spot on the Aztecs with 32.0 total blocks and tied for the team lead with eight solo stuffs.

The SDSU junior totaled double-digit kills in 11 of 15 matches this past season and has recorded 10 or more kills in 32 of her last 43 starts dating back to the fall of 2019.

In a home victory over New Mexico on Feb. 20, O'Sullivan led the Aztecs to a 3-1 triumph by launching a season-high 20 kills, which is tied for the ninth-best overall total in the conference this year and is tied for the third-highest figure in a four-set match.

In addition, O'Sullivan blasted 15 kills and came up with six total blocks (2 solo) in SDSU's 3-2 upset at Boise State on March 20.

Not to be outdone, O'Sullivan played a key role in the Aztecs' home sweep of Colorado State, collecting a match-high 15 kills and a career-best six block assists, as the Scarlet and Black snapped an 11-match losing streak to the Rams. The Albany, California, native also posted a season-high .371 hitting percentage, committing just three errors in 35 attempts, while serving up a personal-best two aces.

In 68 career matches, O'Sullivan has compiled 633 kills (2.88/set), 103 digs (0.47/set) and 99 blocks (0.45/set), including 23 solo stops.

Under the direction of first-year head coach Brent Hilliard, San Diego State posted a 6-9 record and an eighth-place finish in the Mountain West race during the 2021 spring campaign.
