SAN DIEGO – San Diego State lacrosse senior Bailey Brown was named Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Defensive Player of the Week, the conference offices announced Monday.

Brown continued her impressive senior campaign Saturday in the Aztecs' matchup with Coastal Carolina. She scored her fourth hat trick of the 2021 season while adding two ground balls and eight draw controls. Her dominance in the draw circle helped the Aztecs outdraw their opponent 17-to-16.  Her second half ground-ball snag gave the Aztecs a fast-break opportunity that they capitalized on, reeling in a Coastal Carolina 2-0 scoring run to keep the scoreboard at a five-goal margin.

SDSU continues a two-game homestand on April 4, welcoming the California Golden Bears to San Diego for an Easter Sunday high noon contest.
