Also slated to compete are Colorado, Kansas State, Missouri, SMU, TCU, Tulane and UTSA.

Both days will begin with 8:30 a.m. CT shotgun starts.

SDSU is coming off a third-place finish at the Juli Inkster at Meadow Club Invitational March 8-9 in Fairfax, Calif. San Diego State shot a 2-over-par 290 on the final day of the tournament to vault up three places on the final leaderboard.

Aztec head coach Leslie Spalding has gone with the lineup of Bernice Olivarez Ilas, Sara Kjellker, Andrea Gomez, Anna Lina Otten and April Ranches.

Ilas was SDSU's top finisher at the Juli Inkster tournament, tying for third out of 66 entrants at 2-over 218, the best finish of her career. Ilas ranks second on the team with a 76.33 stroke average.

Kjellker, meanwhile, has finished no worse than 16th in her three tournaments with two top-10 showings. She leads San Diego State with a 74.33 scoring average.

Gomez is coming off a tie for 11th, the top finish of her freshman career. Gomez ranks third on the team with a 76.78 stroke average through three competitions.

Otten (80.00) and Ranches (82.78) rank fourth and sixth, respectively, on the team in scoring average.

San Diego State competed in the inaugural Bruzzy event in 2018, taking seventh out of 15 teams when it was contested at the Maridoe Golf Club in Carrolton, Texas. Kjellker was the Aztecs' top finisher in the event at 10-over 226, good enough for a tie for eighth. Last year's event was canceled because of the COVID pandemic. Texas A&M won the 2018 event, while Baylor won the 2019 version at 10-under-par.

Following The Bruzzy, SDSU competes at the Silverado Showdown from April 5-7 at Silverado G.C. in Napa, Calif.
