SAN DIEGO -- It was another big week for former Aztecs in professional sports.
Kawhi Leonard (2010-11) and the Los Angeles Clippers went 3-0 again in last week, beating Oklahoma City twice and Sacramento in its other game. Leonard averaged 32.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 3.0 steals, and 0.7 blocks per game. The Clippers sit at the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference. Malachi Flynn (2020) played in a pair of games in the last week for Toronto. Flynn averaged 2.5 points, 0.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 0.5 steals per game. Jalen McDaniels (2018-19) is also on the Charlotte Hornets.
On the PGA Tour, J.J. Spaun (2009-12) and Scott Piercy (1999-01) did not make the cut at The American Express in La Quinta. Next weekend, Xander Schauffele (2013-15) will join Spaun and Piercy at the Farmers Insurance Open at La Jolla's own Torrey Pines.
