COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – With a 3.28 grade point average for the fall 2020 semester, the San Diego State swimming and diving team was named a College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team today.
To be eligible, teams must possess a collective 3.0 grade point average for the fall semester and maintain a roster of at least 12 student-athletes.
"Swimmers and divers showed remarkable resilience in the classroom this semester, all during a global pandemic upending much of their academic and athletic schedules," the CSCAA release noted.
More than 450 men's and women's swimming and diving programs from all NCAA divisions earned the honor for their efforts in the classroom throughout the Fall 2020 semester.
The Aztecs are riding high coming off their 25th consecutive dual meet win with wins over Pepperdine and Cal Poly Jan. 15 and 16. SDSU has a few more meets to tune up before they head to Las Vegas, Nev. for the swimming portion and Colorado Springs, Colo. for the diving portion of the Mountain West Conference Championships.
