SAN DIEGO -- The NFL season concluded for the remaining former Aztecs.

Center Keith Ismael (2017-19) and the Washington Football Team fell to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by the score of 31-23. While many Aztec fans were watching San Diego State take down Nevada on a buzzer beater by Trey Pulliam on Saturday night, Ismael was on the field for three snaps on special teams. During the regular season, Ismael played in eight games, appearing on offense for four stanps and logging eight percent of the special teams snaps. Running back Rashaad Penny (2014-17) did not play in Seattle's Wild Card loss to the Los Angeles Rams earlier on Saturday. In the regular season, Penny played in three games, rushing 11 times for 34 yards (3.1 avg.).

In the NBA, Kawhi Leonard (2010-11) and the Los Angeles Clippers went 2-2 in last week. Leonard averaged 27.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 2.0 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game. Against Chicago, Leonard had career highs of 21 points and five 3-pointers in a quarter, doing so in the third. He also scored his 10,000th career point in the game. Not to be outdone, Malachi Flynn (2020) played in three games for Toronto in last week, going 1-2. Flynn averaged 4.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game. Against Sacramento, Flynn scored his first NBA points with 12 to go along with five rebounds and a pair of asists. Against Golden State, he hit a shot from behind his own free-throw line, nearly 80 feet, but he did not get it off before the buzzer, so it did not count. Jalen McDaniels (2018-19) played for a minute in Charlotte's win over New York.

On the PGA Tour, Xander Schauffele (2013-15) tied for fifth in the Sentry Tournament of Champions in Kapalua, Hawai'i, at 21-under-par. Schauffele is now ranked fourth in the Official World Golf Ranking, the highest ranking of his career. The other former Aztecs on the PGA Tour - J.J. Spaun (2009-12) and Scott Piercy (1999-01) will compete in the Sony Open in Honolulu.
