• The Aztecs won at San Diego 64-58 Saturday afternoon behind a dominant first quarter which saw them jump out to a 20-3 lead.
Téa Adams led the Aztecs with a season-high 19 points on an efficient 9-for-10 shooting. Sophia Ramos had a double-double with 15 points and a game-high 10 rebounds while recording five steals, which tied a career-high. Mercedes Staples finished with 12 point and seven rebounds.
• Adams' nine made field goals tied a career-high set her freshman season. On the year, she is leading the team in field goal percentage (.679) and three-point percentage (.667).
• Adams is one made field goal shy of qualifying for the national ranks for best field goal percentage. However, if she qualified, she would rank third in the country among guards who have played at least three games.

As of Monday morning, she is top 50 in the nation in 10 stat categories including double-doubles (T-11th), free throws made (10th), minutes (17th), points (22nd), field goals made (42nd), and rebounds (49th).
• Ramos enters the CSU series with 968 career points. Once she reaches the 1,000-point plateau, she will become the 22nd Aztec to do so and just the 13th to accomplish this feat in three seasons or less.
• Sunday's game between the Aztecs and St. Katherine has been canceled due to a positive COVID-19 test within the Firebird program. The game will not be rescheduled or replaced and will not count against either team's record.
• The Aztecs are 39th in the nation in three-point field goal percentage defense (.211).
• SDSU is averaging just 13.0 personal fouls a game, the 10th lowest in the country.
