SAN DIEGO -- Former Aztecs continue to produce in professional sports.

In the NFL, offensive lineman Daniel Brunskill (2013-16) started once again for San Francisco at center. Brunskill played all 81 snaps on offense as well as a snap on special teams. Defensive end Alex Barrett (2013-16) also played for San Francisco. He was on the field for four defensive snaps and nine special teams snaps, logging a hit on the quarterback. Barrett was waived on Monday. The 49ers travel to Dallas to play the Cowboys on Sunday.

Tight end Kahale Warring (2016-18) played his most snaps of his career for Houston. Warring saw action for 15 snaps on offense and 11 snaps on special teams. The Texans travel to Indianapolis for a Week 15 matchup with the Colts. Linebacker Calvin Munson (2013-16) played 16 snaps on special teams for Miami on Sunday. The Dolphins host New England in Week 15. Long snapper Aaron Brewer (2008-11) was on the field for 10 special teams snaps in Arizona's win over the New York Giants. The Cardinals will host Philadelphia on Sunday. Center Keith Ismael (2017-19) saw action for six snaps on special teams in Washington's win over San Francisco. The Football Team hosts Seattle in Week 15.

Cornerback Luq Barcoo (2018-19) did not play for Jacksonville. The Jaguars travel to Baltimore to play the Ravens on Sunday. Offensive tackle Ryan Pope (2016-18) is on the practice squad for Green Bay. Running back Rashaad Penny (2014-17) returned to practice for Seattle on Wednesday and is hoping to suit up for his first game of the year Sunday in Washington after missing a year with a torn ACL. Fullback Nick Bawden (2014-17) and safety Damontae Kazee (2013-16) are on injured reserve for Detroit and Atlanta, respectively. 

In the NBL, the basketball preseason has started and Toronto point guard Malachi Flynn (2020) has picked up right where he left off with the Aztecs last season. Over his first two games, Flynn has averaged 13.0 points, 1.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game. Both those games have been against Charlotte, which has former Aztec forward Jalen McDaniels (2018-19). McDaniels has averaged 12.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 0.5 assists, and 0.5 blocks per game. Toronto won both games. Forward Kawhi Leonard (2010-11) has also played in two games for the Los Angeles Clippers against the Los Angeles Lakers. Leonard has averaged 7.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.5 steals per game.
