SAN DIEGO –The No. 24 San Diego State men's basketball game at UNLV on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021, will be broadcast on CBS, the Mountain West announced on Friday afternoon. The game time was not included in the announcement.
It will be the Aztecs' first appearance on CBS, since the championship game of the 2020 Mountain West Men's Basketball Tournament, and the first time SDSU has played a regular season game on CBS, since it defeated then No. 16/17 Kansas in Lawrence, Kan., 61-57, on Jan. 5, 2014.
The Jan. 2 contest is the second half of back-to-back games, spread over three days, between the two programs. The opener, on Thursday, Dec. 31, was not included on the national broadcast schedule released today.
With this announcement, the broadcast entities for three of San Diego State's next four contests are now known. The Aztecs next two games, against BYU on Steve Fisher Court at Viejas Arena on Friday, Dec. 18 at 2 p.m., and versus Saint Mary's in the Mott Athletics Center on the campus of Cal Poly, on Tuesday, Dec. 22 at 6 p.m. will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network.
The information released today covers games through Jan. 2, 2021. Tip times and additional national broadcasts will be announced by the Mountain West in the future.
