SAN DIEGO -- It was another big week for former Aztecs in the professional ranks.

After Keith Ismael (2017-19) made his NFL debut last week, it was another big moment for someone who was an Aztec just last year. The Toronto Raptors drafted guard Malachi Flynn (2020) with the 29th pick in the 2020 NBA Draft on Wednesday night. The star of last year's historic SDSU basketball team averaged 17.6 points, 5.1 assists, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.8 steals per game while leading the Aztecs to the second-best record in the NCAA. The Aztecs finished the season ranked sixth in the nation and were one point ranked as high as fourth.

Also in the NFL, linebacker Calvin Munson (2013-16) made a solo tackle in Miami's matchup against Denver. Munson played a snap on defense and 14 on special teams. The Dolphins travel to the Meadowlands to take on the New York Jets in Week 12. Long snapper Aaron Brewer (2008-11) was on the field for seven snaps on special teams for Arizona on Thursday night. The Cardinals take on New England next Sunday. Ismael saw action for five special teams snaps in Washington's 20-9 win over Cincinnati. The Football Team will take on Dallas on the road on Thanksgiving afternoon. Following Ismael's debut last week, cornerback Luq Barcoo (2018-19) made his NFL debut for Jacksonville. Barcoo made a tackle and played 18 snaps on defense against Pittsburgh. The Jaguars play Cleveland next Sunday. Daniel Brunskill (2013-16) and San Francisco return from the bye to play the Los Angeles Rams in Week 12. Houston activated tight end Kahale Warring (2016-18) from injured reserve. The Texans travel to Detroit for a Thanksgiving morning game against the Lions. Offensive tackle Ryan Pope (2016-18) and defensive end Alex Barrett (2013-16) are on the practice squads for Green Bay and San Francisco. Running back Rashaad Penny (2014-17) is designated to return from PUP for Seattle. Fullback Nick Bawden (2014-17) and safety Damontae Kazee (2013-16) remain on injured reserve for Detroit and Atlanta.

In golf, Scott Piercy (1999-01) tied for 18th at 12-under-par in The RSM Classic in Sea Island, Georgia.
