SAN DIEGO -- It was another big week for former Aztecs in professional sports.
Daniel Brunskill (2013-16) got the start at center for San Francisco against New Orleans. He played all 71 snaps on offense. The 49ers are on bye in Week 11 before a trip to Los Angeles to play the Rams in Week 12. Linebacker Calvin Munson (2013-16) saw the field for nine snaps on special teams in Miami's win over the Los Angeles Chargers. The Dolphins will travel to Denver to take on the Broncos on Sunday. Long snapper Aaron Brewer (2008-11) also played nine special teams snaps in Arizona's last-second victory over Buffalo. The Cardinals have a primetime matchup with Seattle on Thursday night. Center Keith Ismael (2017-19) made his NFL debut in Washington's loss at Detroit. He played two snaps on special teams. The Football Team hosts Cincinnati in Week 11. Cornerback Luq Barcoo (2018-19) did not appear for Jacksonville.
Offensive tackle Ryan Pope (2016-18) and defensive end Alex Barrett (2013-16) are on the practice squads for Green Bay and San Francisco. Tight end Kahale Warring (2016-18) is designated to return from injured reserve for Houston while running back Rashaad Penny (2014-17) is designated to return from the PUP for Seattle. Fullback Nick Bawden (2014-17) and safety Damontae Kazee (2013-16) remain on injured reserve for Detroit and Atlanta.
In golf, Xander Schauffele (2013-15) tied for 17th at The Masters at 7-under-par. Scott Piercy (1999-01) will compete in the RSM Classic, next weekend, in Sea Island, Ga.
