SAN DIEGO -- Former Aztecs continue to produce in professional sports.
 
In the NFL, offensive lineman Daniel Brunskill (2013-16) started again at right guard for San Francisco. He played in all 66 snaps on offense as the 49ers blew by New England, 33-6. Defensive end Alex Barrett appeared on 18 snaps on defense for San Francisco, making a tackle, before being waived on Monday as the team traded for edge rusher Jordan Willis from the New York Jets. San Francisco next travels to Seattle. Long snapper Aaron Brewer (2008-11) played 11 snaps on special teams for Arizona in an overtime upset win over Seattle Sunday night. The Cardinals have a bye week to recover before playing Miami in Week 9. Linebacker Calvin Munson (2013-16) and Miami will return from a bye to play the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.
 
Center Keith Ismael (2017-19) and cornerback Luq Barcoo (2018-19) did not play for Washington and Jacksonville this week. Offensive tackle Ryan Pope (2016-18) is on Green Bay's practice squad. Running back Rashaad Penny (2014-17) is on PUP for Seattle, while fullback Nick Bawden (2014-17), safety Damontae Kazee (2013-16), and tight end Kahale Warring (2016-18) are on injured reserve for Detroit, Atlanta, and Houston.
 
In golf, Xander Schauffele (2013-15) tied for 17th in the ZOZO Championship @ Sherwood at 13-under-par. Next weekend, Scott Piercy (1999-01) will compete in the Bermuda Championship in Southampton, Bermuda.
