SAN DIEGO – Coming off a canceled 2020 season due to the coronavirus pandemic, the San Diego State lacrosse team looks to return to the field with a splash this season, adding ten new team members for the upcoming 2021 campaign.

"We could not be more excited for this group to join the Aztec lacrosse family," tenth year head coach Kylee White said. "We have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of this class not only for the talent they bring on the field but their work ethic and leadership off of it. They are a highly decorated group even with the loss of their senior season. The strength and emotional experience this group gained from the unprecedented circumstances of the past year makes them more eager to step on the field and showcase their talent. Additionally, we are incredibly excited to grow our program by keeping it in the family and welcoming both Alexis Sullivan and Taylor Wedlock to America's Finest City!"

The 2020 recruiting class comes to The Mesa after their senior high school seasons were canceled due to safety concerns surrounding COVID-19. Among the latest to join the Aztecs are senior standout Taylor Sullivan's sister, Alexis Sullivan, as well as the step-sister of current Aztec sophomore Lauren Kliger, Taylor Wedlock. Also joining the Aztecs is sophomore Makenna Nichols' high school teammate, Catie Grace Carrington. Combined, the incoming class has almost 40 years of competitive high-school lacrosse experience while more than half of the class spent time playing an additional varsity sport during their prep careers.
