Lacrosse Season Review By The Numbers

Their 2020 season may have been short, but the Aztec lacrosse team saw some incredible individual and team performances in just five games.

Here is a look back at the Aztecs' 2020 campaign by the numbers:
 

1:25In the final one minute and 25 seconds of play against the Sun Devils, the Aztecs found the back of the net three times to overcome a 18-16 deficit to best Arizona State 19-18, Feb. 20. 
 
2Two of the Aztecs' three wins on the season came when facing Pac-12 opponents. SDSU topped Arizona State at home with a last-second goal from freshman Camdyn O'Donnell, Feb. 20, and earned a victory over the California Golden Bears Feb. 28, tallying a 16-11 win on The Mesa.  
 
5SDSU totaled five MPSF weekly honors in 2020, including back-to-back-to-back nods for redshirt senior Katy Sharretts as Defensive Player of the Week and back-to-back Rookie of the Week awards for O'Donnell. 
 
1010 members of the Scarlet and Black scored in the team's 16-11 defeat of Cal, Feb. 28. The scoring attack was led by  junior Lexi Tan who tallied a hat trick along with two assists for a team high five-point performance. Seniors Emily Resnick and Morgan Taylor, junior Julia Sheehan and sophomore Cailin Young each scored two goals while senior Taylor Sullivan, junior Bailey Brown, sophomores Courtney Robinson and Arielle Shahrabani and freshman O'Donnell rounded out SDSU's scoring with one goal apiece.
13Tan scored 13 goals in SDSU's five games, earning the junior the third-best goals per game average in the MPSF (2.60). 
17Senior Emily Resnick amassed 17 points during the 2020 season, including the third-most assists in the MPSF (10) while finding the back of the net 7 times.  
413Sharretts sits with 413 saves in her illustrious career donning the Scarlet and Black-- the most by any netminder in program history.
