1.8The Aztec V8+ finished just 1.8 seconds behind No. 20 UCLA in their only formal competition of the spring on March 7, coming in at 6:43.9. This is the closest margin SDSU's first varsity crew has ever recorded against UCLA. The second eight, four, and third eight also had strong races. Redshirt freshman Alexis Love, a first-year rower, was featured in the Aztec third eight. Love's brother Jordan, a quarterback from Utah State, was selected with the No. 26 overall pick in this year's NFL draft by the Green Bay Packers..
2Two Aztecs (Hannah Broadland and Julia Camillucci) were selected to participate in the USRowing U23 Women's National Team Selection Camp. Broadland was also selected to and attended the camp in 2019.
2SDSU had two talented rowers transfer to join the Aztecs in the spring – Addison Didier from Cornell and Clare Botterill of the Calgary Rowing Club, who also was a goalkeeper for the University of Washington soccer team.
5All five SDSU boats took first place in the annual City Scrimmage against UC San Diego and USD (Feb. 15). The Aztecs also had very positive results in their scrimmage with the University of Minnesota (Feb. 8).
11The Aztecs had 11 seniors, their most since the 2007 season. Senior Brooke Boron is graduating summa cum laude and will begin the SDSU Doctor of Physical Therapy program in June.
3232 Aztec rowers earned SDSU Scholar-Athlete status in the Fall 2019 semester.
