SAN DIEGO – The San Diego State Athletic Department announced today the official sales launch for Aztec Stadium, the state-of-the-art, multi-purpose venue being built in Mission Valley. The campaign, which started May 4 with the exclusive Founders program, features one of the premier gameday hospitality spaces in the country with a combination of suite and club seat options.

Limited to four Founders Suites and 48 Founders Club Seats, this area will be home to some of SDSU's most passionate supporters as well as leaders in the San Diego business community. Founders members will receive tickets to every Aztec football game as well as nearly every event in the stadium. Guests will be treated to an upscale food and beverage experience and will receive parking adjacent to the premium entrance.

"Our team looked at numerous Founders programs over the last few years and together with our architect captured the best elements from each," SDSU Director of Athletics John David Wicker said. "We feel like we have created quite possibly the best hospitality program in college athletics when it comes to not only the fan experience but also the diversity of events we expect to attract. There's simply nothing else like it within the collegiate landscape at this time."

The Aztec Club, the fundraising department of SDSU Athletics, will lead the sales campaign of Aztec Stadium in advance of the anticipated fall 2022 opening. Current Aztec Club members will have the first opportunity to evaluate and secure seating based on priority point ranking led by those who have directly supported the project as well as the exclusive Director's Cabinet membership level. Luxury suites, loge boxes, club seating and priority seating are some of the other gameday experiences being incorporated into the stadium design.

During the next year, every Aztec Club member and season ticket holder will have the opportunity to meet in person or virtually with a representative from SDSU Athletics to determine the best option for them. Following this group, members of the Aztec Stadium Insiders List will be contacted about remaining seating opportunities followed by the general public.

The initiative has already received over $30 million in benefactor support, including a $15 million lead gift from San Diego philanthropist Mrs. Dianne L. Bashor.
