SAN DIEGO – San Diego State and Louisiana Tech agreed to a pair of future home-and-home football matchups, the two schools announced today.
The Aztecs and Bulldogs will first play in San Diego on Sept. 23, 2028 and then in Ruston, La., on Sept. 15, 2029. The two schools will also meet in Ruston on Sept. 24, 2033 and in San Diego on Sept. 23, 2034.
SDSU and LA Tech have never met in football.
Louisiana Tech was 10-3 last year, including a 14-0 victory over Miami in the Walk On's Independence Bowl.
San Diego State is also coming off a 10-3 season in 2019, capped by a 48-11 win over Central Michigan in the New Mexico Bowl. The Aztecs, who lost their three games by a combined 13 points last year, are one of 10 schools to win at least 10 games in at least four of the last five seasons.
SDSU kicks off its 2020 slate at SDCCU Stadium against Sacramento State on Sept. 5.
San Diego State is accepting new account deposits on 2020 season tickets through the Aztec Ticket Office, while current season-ticket holders can also renew their tickets for the 2020 campaign.
