SAN DIEGO – The Aztec women's basketball team (11-13, 6-6) plays Air Force (4-18, 2-9) Saturday at 1 p.m. PT. The game will be streamed on the Mountain West Network and the team will be celebrating National Girls and Women in Sports Day.

Aztec Tidbits
• With a 6-6 record in Mountain West play, the Aztecs are in sixth place. The top five teams receive a first-round bye at the MW Tournament. Four of SDSU's six remaining regular-season games are against teams that are below them in the standings.
• The Aztecs beat Utah State 59-51 on the road last Saturday for their third win in a row and first Mountain West road game.
• Sophia Ramos led the Aztecs with 24 points and eight rebounds and was a perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line.
• Ramos was named the MW Player of the Week for the second time this season. She averaged 28 points and 9.5 rebounds while shooting 56 percent from the field and from three and was a perfect 23-for-23 from the line to help the Aztecs go 2-0 last week.
• The Aztecs are shooting 44.5 percent from the field and 36.2 percent from three in conference play, both are second in the MW
• The Aztecs' overall shooting percentage of 42.1 percent would be the program's best since the 2012-13 season.
• SDSU is shooting 35.1 percent from three, that would be the program's best in 26 years (.355, 1993-94).
• Taylor Kalmer has scored in double-digits in 18 straight games, the longest streak by an Aztec since 2012-13 when Courtney Clements did it in 18 straight games.
• Taylor Kalmer is top three in the conference in minutes per game (1st, 37.13), field goals made (2nd, 142) and field goal attempts (2nd, 185).
• Sophia Ramos has made 24 straight free throws to improve her free throw percentage to 84.3, second best in the conference.
• As of Thursday, Taylor Kalmer and Sophia Ramos are second and third in the nation in total minutes played.
• Freshman Isabela Hernandez is shooting 42.2 percent (19-45) from three on the season. If she maintains that pace and reaches 50 attempts, that would be the second-best in a single season in school history.
• In conference play, Hernandez is shooting 46.2 percent from three and Monique Terry is shooting 44.7 percent.
• SDSU is top three in the MW in three-point percentage, field goal percentage defense and free throws made and attempted.
• SDSU secured a commitment from Kamaria Gipson on Wednesday. The 6'3" center from Beeville, Texas has scored over 2,500 points in her high school career and is currently averaging 21.2 points, 15.2 rebounds and 5.7 blocks per game.
• SDSU set an all-time attendance record for a women's basketball game vs. New Mexico on Jan. 29 with 5,320 fans, topping the 5,271 that witnessed the Aztecs play No. 2 UConn in 2007.

Team Notes

• This was SDSU's first Mountain West road win (1-5).
• The Aztecs have won three games in a row, their longest streak of the year. This follows a four-game losing streak, which was also their longest of the year.
• The Aggies were held to 37.5 percent shooting from the field, the 12th time SDSU has held their opponent under 40 percent shooting. The Aztecs are 8-4 in those games.
• Utah State attempted just five three-pointers, a season-low for a SDSU opponent.
• SDSU is 37-for-42 (.881) from the line the last two games. Prior to the last two games, the Aztecs had made just 25 of their last 49 free throw attempts (.510).
• SDSU improved to 6-0 when holding their opponent under 60 points.
• The Aztecs are 9-1 when being tied or leading at the end of the third quarter and 11 when being tied or leading with five minutes remaining.
• SDSU had just four bench points, a season low.

Player Notes
• Sophia Ramos led the team with 24 points, her second consecutive game with 20 or more points. She has scored in double-digits in eight of her last nine games.
• Ramos was 7-for-7 from the line, her third game this season where she has made at least seven free throws without a miss.
• Ramos had made 24 straight free throws. She had a streak of 19 free throws earlier in the year.
• Ramos is now second in the conference in free throw percentage in Mountain West games (.862).
• Taylor Kalmer scored 18 points and has now scored in double-digits in 18 straight games, the longest streak for an Aztec since Courtney Clements did it in 18 straight games in 2013.
• Kennedi Villa had a career-high three steals.
• Monique Terry was 2-for-3 from three. She is now shooting 44.7 percent from deep during conference play and has a team-high 17 made three-pointers.

• The Falcons are 4-18 on the year and 2-9 in conference play.
• They have lost seven games in a row.
• They are 2-9 at home and on the road this year.
• Their last win came at Utah State (62-45, 1-8-20).
• Air Force is last in the conference in field goal percentage (.359), three-point field goal percentage (.267) and field goal percentage defense (.450).
• The Falcons lead the conference in offensive rebounds per game (15.5).
• Kaelin Immel leads the team in scoring (15.0 ppg) and assists (2.7 apg).
• Emily Conroe averages a team-high 7.2 rebounds per game.
