  • The Aztecs and Bears have met eight times throughout the program's young history with California holding the all-time series lead at 5-3. SDSU has won its last three meetings with Cal, including a 13-9 defeat of the Bears in Las Vegas, Nev. on Feb. 17, 2019. The last time the two teams met in San Diego, the Aztecs escaped with a 14-13 overtime victory.

  • SDSU returns to The Mesa after splitting their last two games, topping ASU at home with three goals in the last 1:25 and falling at No. 13 USC 14-6. The shootout in San Diego was led by senior Lexi Tan, scoring six goals throughout the dual with the Sun Devils while the win was captured by freshman Camdyn O'Donnell's two goals with 48 and 24 seconds left. SDSU scored the game's first two goals in Los Angeles, but fell victim to a 35-minute scoring drought and were unable to answer 13 straight points from the Trojans.

  • Redshirt senior goalkeeper Katy Sharretts continued her stellar senior campaign with her second consecutive conference weekly honor, named MPSF Defensive Player of the Week honors for the sixth time in her collegiate carer. Sharretts combined for 20 saves over the Aztecs' match-ups with ASU (Feb. 20) and USC (Feb. 23) and carried a .481 save percentage at USC. The Aztecs held the Trojans to 14 goals, four less than No. 15-ranked Boston College allowed in its matchup against USC two days earlier. Sharretts also picked up six ground balls against the Sun Devils, one short of her season-best (7 ground balls at Stanford, Feb. 16).

  • With her 20 saves over the Aztecs' last two games, Sharretts sits with 394 career saves, just 12 shy of the program record for saves in a career. Her 33 saves through her first three matchups leads the MPSF in total saves while her save percentage sits second in the conference (.412 save percentage).

  • Senior attacker Emily Resnick put on an offensive and defensive clinic against both ASU and USC, totaling a stat line 8 points on 4 goals and 4 assists, 5 ground balls, 5 caused turnovers, 6 draw controls. Her most important assist came on the Aztecs' game-tying goal with 48 seconds left against Arizona State, giving SDSU the momentum push it needed to top the Sun Devils 19-18. Against USC, she led the team in both ground balls, draw controls, and caused turnovers. The Webster, N.Y. native leads the league in Caused Turnovers per game with 2.25.

  • Freshman Camdyn O'Donnell shined in just her second and third collegiate games, highlighted by her two scores with 48 and 24 seconds left against Arizona State that gave the Aztecs their 19-18 win over their Pac-12 competition. Additionally, her goal with 3:31 left in the game was pivotal, shutting down a 3-0 ASU scoring run and turning the tides for the Aztecs to secure the win.  Her weekend stats include: 4 goals, 4 assists for a total of 8 points, alongside a caused turnover and a .350 shot percentage.

  • The Aztecs have a challenging 2020 schedule set, facing five nationally ranked teams in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) preseason poll. After they started off regular season play at No.20 Stanford, the Scarlet and Black now travel up to Los Angeles, Calif. just a week later to take on No. 13 University of Southern California on Sunday, Feb. 23. Competition against ranked opponents doesn't end in February, as the Aztecs travel to Ann Arbor, Mich. to battle the preseason No.9-ranked Michigan Wolverines in March. The two teams will face off on Sunday, March 22, at 1 p.m. Four days following, on Thursday, March 26, SDSU meets another ranked opponent in IWLCA preseason No. 10 Denver, as the Pioneers travel to San Diego for a noon match-up. Sitting at the top of the IWLCA preseason rankings is No. 1 University of Maryland, who SDSU will face for the first time in program history in College Park, Md. on Wednesday, April 1, at 7 p.m.

  • The 2020 season will be Head Coach Kylee White's ninth season as the shot caller for the Aztecs. Since the inception of the program at San Diego State, White has accumulated a 65-70 overall record, highlighted by three-straight 10-plus win seasons.

  • The offseason saw the Aztecs welcome a new face to The Mesa in assistant coach Taylor Gait, a 2016 (bachelor's degree) and 2018 (master's degree) Syracuse graduate. As a senior for the Orange, Gait tallied a career-high 21 points on 18 goals and a personal-best 13 assists, earning All-Northeast Region honors from the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA). Assistant coach Brandi Padilla earned a promotion and will now act as SDSU's associate head coach.
