SAN DIEGO – San Diego State lacrosse redshirt senior Katy Sharretts was named Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Defensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week, the league office announced Monday.

Sharretts continued her success from the Aztecs' season-opener with two dominant performances at home against ASU and on the road against No. 13 USC. The Bel Air, Md. native collected a combined 20 saves and sported a .481 save percentage against No. 13 USC. The Aztecs held the Trojans to 14 goals, four less than No. 15-ranked Boston College allowed in their matchup against USC Friday. She holds a season total of 33 saves and a .413 save percentage, leading the league in total saves this season.

SDSU welcomes another Pac-12 foe to San Diego when they take on California on Friday, Feb. 28 at Aztec Lacrosse Field. The matchup between the Golden Bears and Aztecs is designated as the program's One Love Game, honoring the passing of University of Virginia lacrosse player Yeardley Love and promoting the One Love Organization's mission to educate young people about healthy and unhealthy relationships.
