Aztec Tidbits
• With a 6-7 record in Mountain West play, the Aztecs are in sixth place. The top five teams receive a first-round bye at the MW Tournament. Five of the top six teams in the standings lost last Saturday and now just 2.5 games separate fourth place from ninth place.
• The Aztecs saw their three-game win streak snapped last Saturday when they lost to Air Force 51-49. The Falcons' Riley Snyder hit the game-winning jumper with five seconds left. Sophia Ramos had a potential game-winning three-pointer rim out in the final seconds.
• Neither team led by more than three points in the second half and there were 11 ties and 10 lead changes.
• The last time SDSU faced New Mexico, the Aztecs escaped with a 75-74 win. They held an eight-point lead with 25 seconds left only to see New Mexico go on a 9-0 run in a 16-second span to take the lead. The Lobos then fouled Sophia Ramos who hit the game-winning free throws.
• SDSU has beaten New Mexico three straight times and five of the last six.
• Taylor Kalmer has scored in double-digits in 19 straight games, the longest streak by an Aztec in the Mountain West era (1999-present).
• The Aztecs are shooting 43.8 percent from the field and 34.8 percent from three in conference play, both are top three in the MW.
• The Aztecs' overall shooting percentage of 41.8 percent would be the program's best since the 2013-14 season.
• Taylor Kalmer is top three in the conference in minutes per game (1st, 37.25), field goals made (2nd, 146) and field goal attempts (2nd, 146).

• As of Monday, Taylor Kalmer and Sophia Ramos are second and fourth in the nation in total minutes played.
• Freshman Isabela Hernandez is shooting 42.2 percent (19-45) from three on the season. If she maintains that pace and reaches 50 attempts, that would be the second-best in a single season in school history.
• In conference play, Hernandez is shooting 46.2 percent from three and Monique Terry is shooting 43.6 percent.
• SDSU is top three in the MW in three-point percentage, field goal percentage defense, blocked shots, fouls per game and free throws made and attempted.
• SDSU set an all-time attendance record for a women's basketball game vs. New Mexico on Jan. 29 with 5,320 fans, topping the 5,271 that witnessed the Aztecs play No. 2 UConn in 2007.
• Ramos was named the MW Player of the Week for the second time this season. She averaged 28 points and 9.5 rebounds while shooting 56 percent from the field and from three and was a perfect 23-for-23 from the line to help the Aztecs go 2-0 last week.
