SAN DIEGO – The San Diego State women's basketball team (8-13, 3-6) hosts UNLV (10-9, 6-2) Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. PT. The first 500 fans will receive a SDSU pennant. The game will be streamed on the Mountain West Network with Chris Ello on the call.
Aztec Tidbits
• With a 3-6 record in Mountain West play, the Aztecs are in seventh place. The top five teams receive a first-round bye at the Mountain West Tournament.
• The Aztecs have lost four games in a row. Most recently, they fell at Wyoming 81-67 despite shooting 51 percent from the floor.
• Taylor Kalmer led the Aztecs with 20 points. Three other Aztecs were in double-figures: Sophia Ramos (13), Isabela Hernandez (11), and Zayn Dornstauder (10).
• San Diego State is shooting 44.6 percent from the field in conference play, tops in the Mountain West.

• Zayn Dornstauder scored 10 points on 4-for-6 shooting at Wyoming, her fifth game in a row in double-digits. She is now shooting 59.2 percent from the floor on the season, which would be the fifth best field goal percentage in a single season in school history (min. 100 attempts).
• As of Thursday, Taylor Kalmer and Sophia Ramos are second and third in the nation in total minutes played.
• SDSU is top three in the MW in three-point percentage, blocks per game, total rebounds, and free throws made and attempted.
• 2020 commits Asia Avinger and Flera "Flo" Vinerte were nominated for the McDonald's All-American game.
• SDSU secured a commitment from Minnesota transfer Mercedes Staples a few weeks ago. A former top-75 recruit, Staples appeared in 33 games for the Golden Gophers and made three starts and will be eligible as a junior midway through next season.
• Sophomore Mallory Adams is out for the year with a knee injury. She averaged 12.8 points and 6.0 rebounds in six games.
• San Diego State received votes in the preseason Coaches' Poll, marking the first time since 2012 the Aztecs have been recognized in a national poll.
• SDSU finished with 14 wins in the 2018-19 season, the most they have had under head coach Stacie Terry-Hutson.
Noting the Wyoming Game (L, 67-81, 1-22-20)
• This was the first time all season the Aztecs have allowed an opponent to shoot 50 percent or better from the field.
• SDSU scored 21 points in the second quarter on 72.7 percent shooting, their highest total for a second quarter on the year.
• This was the sixth time SDSU has had four players in double-digits. They are 3-3 in those games.
• This was the third time SDSU has allowed 80 or more points in a game (0-3).
• This was the Aztecs third time in the last four games shooting 50 percent or better from the field.
• The Aztecs have lost their last four games when having a better field goal percentage.
