SAN DIEGO – Mallory Adams of the Aztec women's basketball team will miss the remainder of the 2019-20 season with a knee injury, Head Coach Stacie Terry-Hutson announced Friday morning. The sophomore has been limited to six games this season and leads the team in rebounding and is third on the team in scoring (12.8 ppg).

"We feel terrible for Mallory and will miss the tenacity and toughness she brings to the team," Terry-Hutson said. "We know Mallory will give 110 percent to her rehab and we plan on her returning next year better than ever."

Adams (Frisco, Texas) was an All-Mountain West honorable mention selection last year and was named to the Mountain West All-Freshman Team. She started all 32 games and averaged a team-high 8.9 rebounds and 12.2 points. Her 8.9 rebounds per game were the most by an Aztec freshman since 1984 and the most for any Aztec since 2000.

The Aztecs play at Incarnate Word (San Antonio, Texas) Saturday at 12 p.m. PT.
