SAN DIEGO – San Diego State lacrosse head coach Kylee White has released her team's 2020 schedule that features nine home games for the two-time defending Mountain Pacific Sports Federation champions.
 
"We are really looking forward to the 2020 season," noted White. "Every year we try and put together a schedule that allows us to showcase our skill and compete at the highest level, and this year is no different. We have the opportunity to compete against the best teams in the county and I am excited for our team to prove themselves against the very best."
 
Following a home scrimmage against UC Davis on Feb. 1 and an exhibition competition with Claremont-Mudd-Scrips on Feb. 8, SDSU begins regular-season competition on the road, traveling to Stanford, Calif. Feb. 16 to take on the Cardinal in a Sunday afternoon matchup starting at 1 p.m.
 
San Diego State returns home to take on Arizona State University Thursday, Feb. 20, scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. on Aztec Lacrosse Field.  SDSU holds a 1-1 all-time record over the Sun Devils including a 14-13 victory in San Diego during the 2018 season.
 
The Aztecs then take a short drive down I-5 to Los Angeles, Calif. where they will compete against the Women of Troy Sunday, Feb. 23 at 1 p.m. USC topped SDSU in the schools' most recent meeting, winning a 16-20 matchup on Aztec Lacrosse Field in February of 2019.
 
The Scarlet and Black return home for a three-game homestand starting on Feb. 28 with a 5 p.m. contest against California. SDSU then preps for a Sunday afternoon competition against first-time opponent George Mason University on March 8.  The matchup between the Aztecs and Patriots begins at 1 p.m.
 
SDSU closes out its stint at home against the University of Cincinnati Monday, March 16 at 1 p.m. The all-time series between the Aztecs and Bearcats currently sits at 1-1.
 
Just four days later, San Diego State travels 2,000 miles to the state of Michigan to compete against Central Michigan and the University of Michigan. The Chippewas and Aztecs meet Friday, March 20 at 4 p.m. in Mount Pleasant followed by the Michigan-San Diego State matchup Sunday, March 22 at 1 p.m. in Ann Arbor.
 
Returning home after their lengthy road trip to the "Mitten", SDSU takes on The University of Denver for a mid-week matchup Thursday, March 26 at 12 p.m. The Aztecs will try to secure their first-ever win against Pioneers and just their second win all-time against a team from the Big East Conference. San Diego State then welcomes Drexel University to "America's Finest City" for the first time in school history for a Saturday afternoon meeting March 28 at 1 p.m.

After a short stay in San Diego, the Scarlet and Black head back on the road to take on the University of Maryland in College Park Wednesday, April 1 at 7 p.m. While in Maryland, the Aztecs will also compete against Furman University in a neutral-site game played at the US Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks Glencoe, Md. Friday, April 3 at 6 p.m.
 
The Aztecs then travel back to the west coast and head up to Eugene, Ore. where they will meet the Ducks on Saturday, April 11. SDSU looks to take the lead in their all-time series against UO, most recently besting Oregon 13-8 in Las Vegas, Nev. Feb. 15, 2019, to tie the schools' head-to-head record at 4-4.
 
SDSU finishes its 2020 home schedule with a MPSF competition against UC Davis Saturday, April 18 at 1 p.m. The two teams split their meetings during 2019, with the Aggies taking the regular-season victory in Davis, Calif., 12-16 on April 13, and the Aztecs collecting a 15-7 victory in the MPSF Championship game, April 28.
 
San Diego State's regular season concludes Saturday, April 25, at 1 p.m. when the Aztecs travel to Fresno State for its second and final MPSF matchup before the conference championships. The Bulldogs and Aztecs last met in the MPSF semifinals where the Scarlet and Black brought home an 18-15 victory.
 
Postseason action at the MPSF Championships begins for the Aztecs April 29 and lasts through May 2, with the location of the games announced at a later date.
 
The Aztecs enter 2020 after a 2019 season that saw the Aztecs match its program-record 11 victories while winning their second consecutive Mountain Pacific Sports Federation championship. The Aztecs have 13 talented newcomers joining a SDSU squad that collected seven all-conference awards to go with 14 MPSF Player of the Week accolades in their most recent championship campaign.
