* Having clinched a share of the West Division title, San Diego State can punch its ticket into the Dec. 7 Mountain West championship game with a victory on Saturday at Hawai'i. 
* San Diego State has 21 conference championships, including Mountain West crowns in 2012 (shared), 2015 and 2016.
* The Aztecs have won or shared the West Division title four times in the two-division era (started in 2013) - 2014, 2015*, 2016* and 2019. * - indicates won the title outright and represented the division in the championship game
* The Aztecs are one of only four teams nationally to own five road victories and be undefeated on the road (also: Appalachian State, LSU and Louisiana).
* SDSU's five-game road win streak is tied for the fifth-longest active FBS streak.
* San Diego State is tied for the 17th-fewest losses (2) in the nation.
* The Aztecs improved to 8-2 overall Friday night with a 17-7 victory over Fresno State. Senior CB Luq Barcoo intercepted two passes, senior quarterback Ryan Agnew set career highs for attempts (47), completions (33) and passing yards (323), and snapped SDSU's streak of 61 consecutive games without a 300-yard passer, and redshirt freshman Jesse Matthews set personal bests for receptions (8) and receiving yards (119) in the win.
* SDSU's defense ranks among the national leaders in nearly every statistical category. Among its highest rankings are: 2nd in rushing defense (65.8), 2nd in rushing yards allowed per carry (2.4), T-4th in first downs allowed (143), 6th in rushing touchdowns allowed (6), T-7th in TD allowed (16), T-7th fewest plays of 20+ yards allowed (29), 8th in scoring defense (13.7), 8th in total defense (2770.0), T-8th in passing touchdowns allowed (9), 17th in passing efficiency rating (114.4), 18th in passing yards per attempt (6.21) and 19th in third down conversion (31.6).
* SDSU's special teams are ranked 12th nationally by ESPN and have two touchdowns this season.
* Since the start of the 2015 campaign, San Diego State owns a 9-5 (64.3 percent) record when an underdog. That is the 12th best winning percentage nationally during that span as an underdog (minimum 14 games played).
* San Diego State has played five games decided by one possession (actually six points or less) this season. The Aztecs are 3-2 in those games (5-0 in games decided by seven or more points). Including last season, the Aztecs have played 13 one possession games (eight points or less) in their last 23 games.
* The Aztecs have won six of the last seven encounters and have not lost on the Islands since a 49-38 setback on Dec. 3, 2005.
* San Diego State has won on its four most recent visits to Aloha Stadium, defeating Hawai'i in 2013 (28-21, OT), 2015 (28-14) and 2017 (28-7). The Aztecs also took out Cincinnati, 42-7, in the 2015 Hawai'i Bowl.
* SDSU, which is 31-1 the last 32 times it has owned a turnover margin advantage, is seventh nationally in turnover margin at +1.10 (18 gained, 7 lost). Since the start of the 2015 season, SDSU leads the nation in turnover margin (+0.80).
