SAN DIEGO -- Fans attending the San Diego State-Fresno State football game on Friday night will be treated to a variety of promotions and activities, with kickoff slated for 6:30 p.m. PT at SDCCU Stadium.
Selected tickets (purple and orange sections) for "Freaky Friday" will be available for $10 off the regular price.
After stadium gates open at 4:30 p.m., the first 10,000 fans in attendance will receive free foam fingers, while the first 2,000 students will receive complimentary Aztec football jersey drawstring bags on the Plaza Level, Section 44.
In addition, SDSU will recognize the Navy ROTC during the game, while the Military ROTC March-On will take place pregame. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to watch hundreds of ROTC cadets join the march on the field pregame.
The SDCCU Stadium parking lot will once again serve as the hub for pregame festivities, including the Aztec Village, which will be open from 4-6 p.m. in Lots C1/D1. Entrance to the village is free to the public and there will be food and beverage options for purchase, as well as a Kids Zone with carnival rides, inflatable games, a magician, photo booth, football schedules and Kids Club pick-up.
At approximately 4:15 p.m., the Warrior Walk is scheduled to commence between Lots E and F, led by Honor Warrior Lynell Hamilton. Hamilton was a four-year letter winner with the Aztecs, earning first-team Freshman All-America honors in 2003 by Sporting News and Rivals.com when he ran for 1,087 yards and four touchdowns. That year, Hamilton was also a first-team all-Mountain West selection and a recipient of the team's Byron H. Chase Memorial Trophy, given out to the team's outstanding player. Hamilton went onto play for the New Orleans Saints, helping them to a Super Bowl title in 2010, and then worked with the Aztecs as a graduate assistant coach.
At halftime, there will be a special performance by Heartlight, a non-profit kids fitness program in San Diego Country elementary schools.
Tickets are still available for Friday's encounter with Fresno State. The Aztec Ticket Office, located at SDCCU Stadium Window E, is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. On Saturday, the SDCCU Stadium parking lot and Aztec Ticket Office will open at 1:30 p.m.; however, fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance to avoid long lines on game day.
Student tickets for Aztec football games are now mobile and can be accessed at SDSUStudentTix.com, starting the Monday before each home game at 9 a.m. Current enrolled students receive free admission to each regular-season home game. To access the mobile tickets, students should simply visit SDSUStudentTix.com on their iPhone or Android device, and log in with their preferred email address on file with the Registrar's Office for their tickets to be automatically delivered to their phone prior to each home game. Students are also able to purchase up to two (2) student guest tickets directly from SDSUStudentTix.com.
