SAN DIEGO -- San Diego State became bowl eligible for the 10th consecutive season after beating San José State, 27-17, Saturday night at CEFCU Stadium in San Jose, Calif.
One of 14 teams nationally to play in a bowl game each of the last nine seasons (2010-18) and one of just two programs from a Group of 5 Conference to make nine straight bowl games, the Aztecs (6-1, 3-1 MW) are eligible to compete in 10 bowl games, including the Goodyear Cotton Bowl on Dec. 28 in Arlington, Texas.

Receiving votes in the latest AP poll and the Amway Coaches Poll, San Diego State is one of just four schools to start 6-1 or better each of the past four seasons, joining Alabama, Clemson and Ohio State.
The only team undefeated on the road with four road wins, SDSU plays at UNLV (2-5, 0-3 MW) at 7:30 p.m. PT Saturday.
