SAN FRANCISO – Pablo Pelaez of the Aztec men's soccer team was named the Pac-12 Player of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday afternoon.

Pelaez, a redshirt senior midfielder from San Diego, was involved in both Aztecs' goals in their 2-0 win at Brown last Sunday. He assisted SDSU's first goal with a cross from the left corner that Hunter George headed in and then added a goal himself in the 52nd minute when he put in a loose ball in a crowded box.

Pelaez leads the team with 11 points and is tied for the team lead in both goals (4) and assists. This is Pelaez's first career Player of the Week award and the 24th all-time for SDSU.

The Aztecs are back in action on Sunday when they play at UCLA at 5 p.m. PT. The match will be aired on Pac-12 Network.
