SAN DIEGO – San Diego State lacrosse head coach Kylee White has announced the addition of Syracuse transfer Emily Resnick, who has one year of eligibility remaining and will compete for the Aztecs during the 2020 campaign.

In three seasons at midfielder for the Orange, Resnick played in 58 games with 22 starts, posting eight goals and nine assists to go with 20 ground balls, 13 caused turnovers and seven draw controls.

In addition, Resnick is coming off a brilliant performance at the recently completed 2019 Women's European Lacrosse Championship in Netanya, Israel, where she led the tournament with 37 points on 25 goals and 12 assists, helping the Israeli squad to a silver medal. Against the Netherlands in pool play, the Webster, New York, native compiled seven goals and assisted on four others, propelling her team to a 15-5 victory.

"We are really excited to have Emily join the Aztec lacrosse family," White said. "I believe Emily will make an immediate impact on our program both on and off the field. She brings maturity, experience and strong worth ethic from her time at Syracuse, along with her participation in the European Championship."

Prior to her enrollment at Syracuse, Resnick prepped at Webster Thomas High School, where she was twice named a US Lacrosse All-American and received All-Greater Rochester Area accolades on three occasions. She holds the Titans' single-season and career records for goals scored and was named the Greater Rochester Area Player of the Year as a senior in 2015.

San Diego State matched its program record with 11 victories during a highly successful 2019 campaign that saw the Aztecs capture their second straight Mountain Pacific Sports Federation championship and merit seven all-conference accolades to go with 14 MPSF player of the week awards.
